Word / City

y: Cities are a ‘weaving’ of relationships, exchanges, things, objects, people. That is the only way to live that is worth living. I grew up in Milan and returned after many years. Man is made to live in the city.

x: Someone said: “In the beginning is the relationship”. Are we sure?

Word / Invisible

y: «The essential is invisible to the eyes». The most important things are invisible: your soul, love … relationships between people and things. In the city it is the emptiness of public spaces.

x: The emptiness of the infinite possibilities …

Word / Border

y: I do not consider it as a ‘limit’, a line, something that divides. For me it is more a grey area, a place where two forces interact. A commingling (a combination of more things/blending?)

x: We are often reminded that it is important to give yourself a limit to overcome it.

Word / Journey

y: It always makes me think of life. I have a project in my mind that has been linked to travel and life. I struggle to think of something else. I love traveling, but one of the good things about travel is when you are back home.

x: Is the person who travels and is sure to return actually an avid traveler?

y: “One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things” (H. Miller). The journey has value in itself as a life experience, not so much or not only for the destination. And that’s why it’s nice to come back!

y: Le città sono un ‘intreccio’ di relazioni, scambi, cose, oggetti, persone. l’unico modo di vivere che valga la pena di essere vissuto. Ci sono cresciuta…ritornata dopo tanti anni. L’uomo è fatto per vivere in città.
x: Qualcuno, parafrasando Giovanni, disse: «In principio è la relazione». Ne siamo sicuri?
Parola / Invisibile
y: «L’essenziale è invisibile agli occhi». Le cose più importanti sono invisibili: l’anima, l’amore… le relazioni tra le persone e le cose. Nella città è il vuoto degli spazi pubblici.
x: Il vuoto delle infinite possibilità…
Parola / Confine
y: Non lo considero come ‘limite’, una linea, qualcosa che divide, ma è più una zona grigia, un luogo dove interagiscono due forze, un’area grigia. Commistione.
x: Qualcuno mi ricorda che è importante darsi un limite per superarlo.
Parola / Viaggio
y: Mi fa sempre pensare alla vita, so che è comune, ma ho in mente un progetto da tempo proprio legato al viaggio. Faccio fatica a pensare ad altro. Mi piace viaggiare, ma una delle cose belle dei viaggi è tornare a casa.
x: Chi viaggia sicuro di poter tornare è, in fondo, un accanito viaggiatore?

y: «La nostra meta non è mai un luogo, ma piuttosto un nuovo modo di vedere le cose» (H. Miller). Il viaggio ha valore in se come esperienza di vita, non tanto o non solo per la meta. Ed è per questo che è bello tornare !!
